Snowdon preparation begins…
So, while we are currently working hard and keeping busy looking after our many entrepreneur clients at Time Etc Towers, we are also planning the logistics of our ‘Time Etc Does Snowdon’ climb for charity on Sat 7th May (that’s a mere 6 weeks away, eek!)
As you may or may not be aware, the team are climbing Snowdon in aid of three carefully chosen charities: Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Acorns Childrens’ Hospice and Ovarian Cancer Action. Details about these charities and how to sponsor the team can be found at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/timeetc.
We’ve already managed to raise a whopping £1,535.00 to date and we show no signs of stopping yet!
Being super-organised is the key to our success here at Time Etc, but we have still found that organising a team of almost 30 to climb one of the UK’s highest peaks is no easy task. So, we’ve broken the planning of the trip down into groups (or ‘pods’ as we call them here). Each pod is focusing on a separate aspect of the trip. My pod (which also includes Heather, Gemma, Holly and James) are looking into the walking route.
We currently have a few options of routes to take up and down the mountain (and have asked for recommendations from some our clients more experienced in their ‘outdoors activities’). At the moment we are considering ‘The Pyg Track’ one way and ‘The Miners Track’ the other- we are, after all, not experts at rock climbing and , in all honesty, these sound like some of the easiest! We are still open to suggestions however, so if you have experience of the Snowdon climb please do get in touch- any advice is much appreciated.
Pod 2 is looking into accommodation and we are yet to confirm this. There are rumours of the possibility of camping which I am currently trying to squash!
All in all, the office is a fun and vibrant place to be at the moment, and there are still many other exciting activities taking place in the office over the next few months in order to carry on raising money for these worthwhile charities. There are talks of a clothes swap, tea parties, bake sales and all other sorts of fundraising fun!
Please visit our Virgin Money Giving page to leave a donation and a message for the team. As a successful company once said- every little helps!
Over and out,
Amelia
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough?
Exciting developments underway at Time Etc towers this week…
Not only are we busier and better than ever and enjoying ourselves in the process – but we’re also getting stuck into some serious fundraising fun.
As we may have mentioned, we all decided to put some of our efforts into charity this year. We got to thinking – what could be better than lots of fun activities that bring us together as a team and raise money to help others?
The Fundraising Team is being headed up by the lovely Lydia and are really working hard to get everything off the ground. On Friday they had a big meeting and have had a whole bundle of brilliant ideas – from the Time Etc Night In to our community Tea Party in April. Here they are, looking entirely au naturel, hard at work…!
To get things underway in a BIG way, on Saturday May 7th this year the team are climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for: Acorn Childrens’ Hospice, Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and Ovarian Cancer Action. We’ll be blogging more about these truly BRILLIANT causes at a later date. Our challenge? For the entire team to reach the top in 4 hours. Yep, even the laggers at the back. The first person to reach the top and fly the Time Etc flag with pride will win an extra days’ holiday and a spa day courtesy of Barns.
It would mean the world to us if you, our lovely blog-readers, would have a read of our Virgin Money Giving page. We’re already getting some really generous donations.
We want to get to £1,000 this week and we are getting increasingly close, so if you haven’t donated…please pleeeease do and we shall love you forever.
In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for the fabulous fundraising events we’ve got coming up and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.
Hope this week is a fabulous one for you all
